I've been looking forward to this weekend for the past month, I almost thought it would never get here but it finally made it. Yes I am finally getting to move out of my apartment complex and get away from my roommate which I am ecstatic about. Moving back in with my dad is a really big change for me because I have lived on my own for the past four years but in the end I think it will help me out in the long run.
I do have other plans this weekend as well but moving out is the most exciting one and I had to share that first. My other plans include a family cookout on my moms side for my grandpa who is turning 70! Yes it is a big birthday, one he doesn't care to celebrate but he had no choice because we were throwing him a party no matter what. The cookout will be happening this Saturday at six and I will be munching on some delicious burgers and some amazing home made ice cream, I do believe I'm looking forward to the home made ice cream more than anything.
Well those are my big plans for this weekend, ill keep you guys posted just in case something crazy and unexpected happens!

Tests, tests and what do you know more tests...
On Monday I started my new job at the bank, well I knew I would be training for the next three weeks but I assumed it would be working with other tellers and them training me on how to process the money and/or dealing with different forms of transactions and also filling the normal paper work.
But I was wrong, for the past two days I have done nothing but watch videos made in the 80's which I may add are poorly made, they also have me taking tons of tests which happen to be redundant because according to my trainer they want the information to be drilled into my brain. I also might add that I am in a isolated room by myself taking these tests so after awhile you get a little bored start singing to yourself you know the usual. And your eyes also begin to hurt because you have been focused on a computer screen for the past three hours.
Now I do have some good news I got to go out on a "buddy lunch" yesterday with one of the other co-workers and its where they take the new employee out for lunch and the other employee talks about the bank and answers any questions that the new employee would like to know. Well the lady I got was very entertaining which I was thankful for because I didn't have to have an awkward lunch and I also got my lunch payed for which made my day!
I hope my training today will be more exciting but I have a feeling it might not because I haven't finished all of my tests. But cross your fingers for me that hopefully next week I will start hands on training and not be sitting alone in an isolated room taking more tests.

Angels & Airwaves
For Fathers Day my brother and I decided to take our father to the air show held at tinker air force base. I haven't been to the air show since I was a kid and I still found it to be astonishing watching the various planes soar through the sky, amazed at how they created all sorts of shapes and designs through out the sky most not looking capable of doing so.
Then there was a group called the Thunderbirds who I remember very well the last time I had gone to the air show and they were as glorious to me as they were when I was ten years old. In amazement I watched them zoom through the sky coming from different directions performing their famous stunts, such as the barrel roll but this was performed with four of the Thunderbirds formed in a diamond shape soaring side by side through the sky not one moving out of place, just all parallel to each other and leaving a trail of smoke behind them allowing you to see the effects of the performance as they spiraled across the blue sky.
Even though the summer heat was upon us that day, and I definitely have a sunburn to prove it I will never forget it, ill always cherish getting to spend that day with my dad and having the privilege of reliving my childhood memories.

Brownies & Wine
Yes that is what I am having tonight, you see me and my best friend are huge chocolate eaters I mean I would go to the extreme of saying we are addicted to it. Even though we are attached at the hip and see each other all the time we always make plans for one night every other week to have brownies and wine. We were having the brownies every week and then decided maybe we should try to cut back on some chocolate intake. We started doing this about a year ago when classes and work started to get hectic for both of us, and it was just a night to destress and enjoy some chocolate which makes us very happy. As for the wine we just always seem to have a good time drinking it so why not bring it everytime we have a brownie night? Anyways little insight as to what im doing this evening, and you all can invision me sitting on the couch next to my best friend with a glass of wine and a huge pan of brownies sitting on the coffee table in front of us not feeling guilty at all because that is exactly what I will be doing.

I had to get out my scuba gear!
Yesterday was very eventful and to be honest I was definitely one of those people who didn't go outside just because I didn't want to deal with all the rain. But I was hearing some crazy stories from my friends in the village saying that it was so flooded people were able to get their jet skis out and ride them around, just insane scenarios. Then seeing the footage taken by the news I would believe they were able to do so, because some cars were completely underwater. Even though we needed the rain before the real summer heat comes, I can honestly say we didn't need this much. My reguards go out though to the people who did suffer from yesterday's rain storm and for everyone that it didn't I'm glad you are all safe and water damage free.
1/4 Polish
On my fathers side of the family through my grandma everyone is polish. And after this past weekend I discovered a lot about my family that I never even knew. Back track for a minute, this all started about a year ago my aunt starting doing research on the family and every time she comes up she always has something new to tell us about the family and I always find it so fascinating to learn where exactly I came from. Anyways back to my weekend of discovering my heritage, I found out that this side of my family is actually new to America, and that I still have family over in Poland that I could go visit one day. You see the only family that I had come over here were my great grandparents the rickly's and my cousins the Visnieski's, they arrived in the late 1920's and ended up here in Oklahoma. I am still amazed that I have family in Poland and to be honest its definitely inspired me to want to learn more about my family, maybe even learn how to speak polish, because I have always wanted to visit Poland just because that is where a big part of my family is from and I know by going there I could learn even more about my family heritage. Also being able to speak the language wouldn't hurt either especially if I end up meeting the other half of my family.

">Every time it's raining this song always pops into my head, and I began to see Gene Kelly dancing with his umbrella down the sidewalk, it always makes me think that if Gene Kelly can be happy in the rain so can I.

I GOT A NEW JOB!
For awhile now I have been wanting to find a new job because the boss at my old job is a little crazy, and I'm not even being dramatic when I say that. So last week I was determined to get a new job because I thought to myself I needed a positive change in my life, therefore I started to ask my friends if they had heard of any openings and luckly my wonderful friend michele told me that her bank had an opening for a teller position. So of course I went last week put in my application, and set up an interview to see the manager over the department I was applying for; my interview was yesterday morning and it went really well and I felt very confident that I landed the job. And I was right I received a phone call from a lady in their HR department only a few hours later confirming that I GOT THE JOB!!! So you are now looking at a new teller for the First National Bank! Woop Woop!!

Schools Kill Creativity
"If your not prepared to be wrong, you will never come up with anything original." When Ken Robinson said this in his speech I found it to be very true. Sometimes for myself I get nerves and worried about presenting a new project especially if its presented in a different format then the one my professor is used to seeing. Because I don't want my ideas/creativity to be shot down and sometimes its just wrong because it wasn't formatted the way the professor wanted it to be. I agree that in this society we are educated away from creativity, its just the same as someone telling me that getting my degree in communications is a waste of my time because to get a job in today's world you need a degree in business or in some sort of science. But I chose this field because you can be creative and you wouldn't always have a routine work schedule, you can broaden your horizons and actually challenge yourself because with communications you are constantly learning new things such as different social media and I think its amazing. But according to Ken Robinson sounds like we all just have to go with it, see what happens and not be worried about being wrong because people make mistakes and sometimes a mistake can turn into an accomplishment.

Book of the week
Recently a group member of mine from class, told me that I had to read this most amazing book about a woman who decides to leave the life she has and get away to figure out what she truly wants out of life and she talks about her journey two 3 different countries, Italy, India and Indonesia. The book is called Eat,Pray,Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and its a biography of a new chapter in her life, basically when everything changed for her. I just began reading the book this week and I'm already half way through the book it is amazing and very inspiring, it makes me wish I could leave and go visit these countries as well. If any of you are looking for a great biography to read I highly suggest reading this one!
